Since March 2020 we’ve been donating menstrual cups in Northern Ghana to students of high risk schools ( identified by the Camfed Foundation as having high teenage school absenteeism and teen prostitution due to period poverty).
Our workshops are always led by community leaders who are respected and have the capacity to influence teenagers. We create a unique safe space for teenagers to learn, share their concerns and ask questions.
It’s not possible to introduce menstrual cups without talking about poverty, religion, sexuality, environment, gender equality, harmful traditions, etc. We dare to stand for social and environmental justice every time we take the floor and challenge others to join us!
